Trust me on this one. If, like me you have worked for any corporate you will know how much of a stress this can be. All you need to do is reply to the urgent ones and chart out a priority list for the other ones. This can and will go a long way in changing your perspective about your workday and leave you feeling more productive.
2 ) Call a good friend
A good friend is one who does not let you curse yourself about the problems you had at work or during the day. Such people will listen attentively to you while you narrate your bad day and then turn the conversation into something more interesting or suggest something fun to do. If you have such a person in your friend circle then it is a boon for you! Ps: This person is most of the time your girlfriend or boyfriend. If your lover cannot be that person, think over your relationship!
This approach is one of the most basic and the most effective. The best thing you can do about a bad day is to forget about it.
3 ) Help out someone
Helping someone in need can leave you feeling a lot better about yourself. Also, it is a good way to take the focus of your own problems and contribute towards actually making someone’s life a little better. Helping a total stranger sometimes works even better than helping out someone from your friends, family or colleagues.
4 ) Take out something from your schedule
It is very easy to be bogged down because you could not achieve something that you had planned for earlier. The solution? Simple…just drop anything that is not critical and is of lesser importance. It does not mean that you procrastinate. All you need to understand is that stuff can be rearranged without ending the world. This is very easy to do and gives you the necessary breathing space.
5 ) Take some time only for yourself
Always make sure that whenever you plan your day, you set aside some time for your self. An hour or two just for yourself can really help you feel better about your day…it could be going for a walk, jog, an exercise session, simply listening to music or just lying down for a while. Just free up some time and watch the magic happen.
